12 Jul WCW- Diana Morado
Once we found the place and secured our mortgage, we need to insure our new investment. We wanted to work with someone who would truly be there for us in the case of an emergency. Because this is our first home, we really don’t know what to expect. Our concerns about our property value as we make improvements, potential water concerns with a finished basement, and security in a new neighborhood were top on our list. When we sat down with Diana Morado with State Farm, our concerns disappeared.
Diana helped me save some money on my Liability Insurance last year as well. During that process she was so informative on what I needed to be aware of. The same was true when Jon and I sat down to determine our Home Owners Insurance needs. Each question we raised was answered clearly.
Diana just opened her own office with three new Employees. The office is located at, 4957 West Fullerton Avenue, not far from our new Portage Park neighborhood! Her involvement with the community is also so attractive! Her and her employees will be attending various festivals this summer including the La Gracia Fest and the Mexican Independence Festival.
When did you decide you wanted to start your business?
I started with State Farm 10 years ago and I knew since Day one that I wanted to become a State Farm Agent. It was the only career I could see myself doing for the rest of my life. I truly love helping people and making sure that we properly protect their assets so that they can invest in their future goals.
Who has been your biggest mentor and what have you learned from them?
My parents and my daughter Melanie. My father is a small business owner as well, he owns a fast food Mexican restaurant in the northwest side of Chicago. He’s been in business for over 22 years and continues to wake up every day with the energy to be better for himself, his family, and his business. He taught me that nothing worth having is easy and it takes a strong person to get it done. I am who I am today because of the foundation my parents gave me.
Next is My daughter Melanie, she is my hero. Melanie was born with a heart defect on October 22nd, 2014. We were in the ICU for eight and a half months and her strength was amazing. She fought everyday of her life to live the life that I have, and she continues to inspire me to work hard every day and never give up on my dreams. Melanie passed away on July 7th, 2015 but she continues to live in my heart and I will forever make sure to always be the best that I can be for those around me.
What would you consider to be your biggest success?
Being recognized as one of the best State Farm agencies nationwide. There are over 19,000 agents at State Farm and I want to make sure our office helps as many people as we can, we are dedicated to educate and serve our communities.
Where would you like to see your business go in the next year?
I would like to see the team grow as well as our business. We are ready to show the world how we can help, might not be through insurance, it might just be giving a referral for an electrician, plumber, general contractor, accountant, lawyer, doctors, etc. Our office is ready to help in any way that we can.
Why should someone hire you?
I am employed by my clients, my client is everything to me. I am committed to making sure I meet their individual needs and make professional recommendations. I will be there when they need me the most and will always do what’s best for the client.
And just for fun, what’s the one beauty product you can’t live without?
Chapstick! I know its not a beauty product but I need chapstick at all times, I won’t leave the house without it and if I ever do, I have one in my car, purse, and at my desk!
